Combined Trip: Hue DMZ Tour & Phong Nha Cave

Option 1: Hue DMZ & Phong Nha Cave in 1 Day

In the morning at around 6.00, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hue to Phong Nha Cave to the North. En-route, you will visit the Old DMZ and take a leisurely walk across the Ben Hai River on Hien Luong Bridge.

Proceed to Vinh Moc Tunnels. The Vinh Moc tunnels are tunnels used by North Vietnam army to fight against the Americans during the Vietnam War and used by the civilian population to protect themselves from the American bombing.

Keep on driving to the North. Upon arrival at Phong Nha Site, enjoy lunch at Saigon-Phong Nha restaurant. After lunch, take a boat trip on Son River to explore Phong Nha Cave-one of the most beautiful caves in the world. Getting into the cave, you will be marveled at wonderful stalagmites and stalactites and magnificent grottos. Take your time to admire the gift of the nature before driving back to Hue city. End of services.

OPTION 2: HUE DMZ TO PHONG NHA CAVE IN 3 DAYS

Day 1: Hue – DMZ – Vinh Moc Tunnels – Khe Sanh

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hue city for a drive to DMZ in Quang Tri. You have plenty of chances to visit war relics. Make a stop at the frame of church and then continue onto Cua Tung Beach and Vinh Moc Tunnels. The Vinh Moc tunnels are tunnels used by North Vietnam army to fight against the Americans during the Vietnam War and used by the civilian population to protect themselves from the American bombing.

Afterward, drive back to visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River. After lunch at Doc Mieu Firebase, drive to Khe Sanh where you stay overnight.

Day 2: Khe Sanh – Phong Nha

In the morning, you will visit Khe Sanh base - a United States Marine Corps outpost south of the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) used during the Vietnam War. Make your way to the waterfall and then visit the minority villages of Paco and Van Kieu to get a glimpse of their way of life.

Leaving the villages, you will follow Ho Chi Minh trails to Phong Nha Cave - one of the most beautiful caves in the world. 

Overnight at the hotel in Son Trach village near the entrance to Phong Nha Cave.

Day 3: Phong Nha – Dong Hoi City

This morning, enjoy a boat trip on Son River to visit Phong Nha Cave. Getting into the cave, you will be marveled at wonderful stalagmites and stalactites and magnificent grottos. Take your time to immerse into the enchanting beauty of the cave. 

Then transfer to Dong Hoi city. End of service.
