This Hue village tour is especially suitable for those who are keen on the local culture of Hue. In this tour, you are offered to explore three traditional villages of Sinh, Thanh Tien and Tien Non – a great introduction to the ancient culture of the city. A biking tour around villages will be an awesome option to explore the hidden charm of the countryside.
Hue Biking Tour: Visit Traditional Villages
In the morning, at around 8.00 am. You will be picked up from your hotel for a transfer to Toa Kham Wharf where you will take a boat trip to the folk painting village – Sinh village. During your boat trip on a traditional dragon boat, you will have the chance to get to know more the rustic beauty of Hue such as Hen Island, Bai Dau wholesale market, Bao Vinh ancient town, Thanh Tien paper flower village and Sinh village.
Upon arrival at Lai An Wharf, take a walk to visit the folk painting house of the artisan Ky Huu Phuoc. There, you will be introduced and taught to paint a folk painting.
Afterwards, get on the bicycle for a stunning visit to Sinh village where you have more chances to explore the activities of local people. Continue your trail to Thanh Tien village to visit the house of a painter – an artist – Than Van Huy. His house is a great introduction to typical cultural characteristics of a traditional house of Hue people.
Make your way to the paper flower gallery of the Thanh Tien village to learn how to make lotus flowers under the guideline of a local artisan. Afterwards, pay a visit to the monument of Nguyen Chi Dieu before leaving the village.
After lunch on the Dragon boat, hop back on your bike to Tien Non village to visit the centralized flower growing area. Here, you have a great chance to join activities of growing flowers and vegetables with the locals.
Then, ride back to the city. End of tour.
