Hang En Adventure Jungle Camp

Phong Nha - Rao Thuong Valley - Hang Lanh (L, D)

After transfer from your hotel in Phong Nha, we will begin the thrilling adventure in Oxalis Headquarter. You will learn all about the safety, collect your equipment and sign the Release Form before taken through the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park listed in UNESCO World Heritage to reach the trailhead at around 10:00 am.

It is the time that you begin to trek down through a wide and deep forest and reach Rao Thuong Valley. After such long hard trip, you will certainly need to recover in the middle of a forest by having picnic lunch at about 1:00 pm before continuing your adventure to Hang Lanh in one and a half hour.

Afterward, for the next 2 hours, our group will explore the very first unique cave of our journey, Hang Lanh cave. Even though you will only Trek 1 kilometer into this 4-kilometer cave, Hang Lanh cave is certainly will full of surprises. As an active steam water cave, there is cold water run through the entire it and you can discover plentiful stalagmites and remarkable stalactite formations in different size and shape. Additionally, you may find many rare fossils in all over the Hang Lanh cave. Feel free to enjoy the sight and take photos, but do not be stunned by this wonder without moving carefully.

At around 5h30 pm, we will return to the camp for our warming meal in the middle of a jungle. Here, you can relax and taste the hot grilled dinner along with the traditional rice wine of Vietnam. At night, the scene is extraordinary with the sounds of jungle combine with the clear sky, sparkling stars, and glowing moon. Take a nice sleep since you will begin your next exciting adventure in Hang En cave next day.

Hang En - Ban Doong Village - Phong Nha

You will immerse into the peaceful jungle while having a nice breakfast at 8:00 am, and then it is time for leaving the camp at about 9:00 am. Trek to the entrance of Hang En, but do not “judge the book by its cover”, Hang En is the third largest cave in the world with 430ft high and 495ft wide. From 9:30 to 12:00 pm, you will explore this special cave. If you are already be astounded by Hang Lanh cave, Hang En will definitely exceed your expectations. Not only you will find stalagmites, stalactites, and ancient fossils but Hang En also has a beach inside and said to have a different climate than the outside world. The exit, if you do not already know, is featured in the Hollywood movie, Pan. 

Afterward, nothing is better than to lunch on the sand and go swimming in the beach within this one-of-a-kind cave. For the next few hours, we will bid farewell to this breathtaking location to turn back to the valley, cross the dense jungle through the steam to finally reveal a hidden village, Ban Doong. Arrive at 2:00 am, you can spend 30 minutes to learn about the elders of the village and local customs before moving on. Now, your greatest challenge appears behind the steam, climbing a seemingly safe hill yet quite dangerous. Beware of leeches and do not be discouraged as you can reward yourself with cold drinks upon completion of this challenge.  We will take you to Phong Nha by a vehicle at 5:30 pm.
