Hang Tien Endeavor

Phong Nha – Tan Hoa – Hang Ruc (L, D)

Transferred from your hotel in Phong Nha at about 7:30 AM and arrive in Oxalis’s Tan Hoa office in about 30 minutes. Here, you will learn all the safety methods in cases, collect your equipment and sign the Release Form before starting your adventure at 10:30 AM. The first hour is a difficult walk uphill and then trek down alongside the river. After this hard trip, you will have lunch at around 1:30 pm to regain your energy. Take your time to relax and prepare for your very first exciting encounter. At 2:00 pm, cross the river and then continue to Hang Ruc cave. You can easily find a beautiful steam cave where you go swimming while enjoying the flowstone glistening on cascades. 

At about 4:00 pm, it is time to leave Hang Ruc and hike upriver to the campsite. When you reach the destination, you will be amazed by the remarkable natural jungle pool nearby. Feel free to take a swim and refresh your mind and body. At dusk, you can have a delicious BBQ dinner prepared by porters after a long exciting day after setting up your camp. Overnight to recover for the trip to Hang Tien.

Hang Tien 1 – Hang Tien 2 – Tan Hoa – Phong Nha

After a good sleep, enjoy the morning surround by the peaceful forests. Be ready and have breakfast prepared by the porter team as your upcoming trip is quite challenging. Then, climb over boulder after boulder until you finally reach Hang Tien 1 at about 9:00 pm. As you descend 50 meters into Hang Tien 1, the beautiful ceiling will be revealed in a very large chamber. Remember to take pictures of this amazing place. Then, we can see that the cave is divided into 2 parts. On the right, the path leads to deep down the cave, but we will proceed to the left to find many pools of rimstone. Continue toward and up a ladder then you will soon see the exit of Hang Tien 1 at around 11:00 am.

But your trip is not yet over, you will pass through the jungle once more in about 30 minutes before an underground cave called Hang Tien 2 appear.  Only 300 meters in the cave and you may understand why some people called this place “Secret Heaven”. The mysterious vein of stone on the floor and ceiling, the picturesque scene created by stalactites in different size and shape of the cave will sure entertain visitors. Afterward, you will trek back to the exit of Hang Tien 1 and have a picnic lunch. 

For few hours, even though we only go back our track to the road, there will be cold drinks served as a reward. When you return to the office at about 4:00 pm, take your time to relax and take a nice shower, change your clothes. Our exciting trip will end at 6:30 pm in Phong Nha.
