Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels – SIC

07:30 – 08:00 AM: Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, start your excursion to visit Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace.

This iconic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City stands on the site of the former Norodom Palace and was designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu.

After exploring Independence Palace, continue your tour by admiring other beautiful structures from the French Colonial era, such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.

Then, you will visit the remarkable War Remnants Museum, which features extensive exhibits covering the Indochina wars.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at a local restaurant.

01:00 PM: We’ll depart for Cu Chi Tunnels.

It takes about one and a half hours to drive.

Upon arrival, you’ll receive a brief introduction before watching a video detailing how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived during the war.

Afterwards, you’ll have time to explore the tunnel systems, including living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, and command centers. These facilities helped inhabitants meet their basic needs during the war. Additionally, you’ll discover hidden trap doors and dangerous traps designed for security purposes.

Following the exploration, you’ll be served special tea and cassava, which was a staple food for guerrilla fighters during the war.

Then, there will be a break for relaxation or for those interested, an opportunity to try shooting a real gun.

07:00 PM: We will return to Saigon and take you back to your hotel. End of tour.
