Hue Discovery: Dragon Boat on Perfume River – SIC

07:30 – 08:30 AM: Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hue city center.

We’ll start by visiting the Imperial Citadel, the former residence and administrative center of the Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal dynasty in Vietnam. The Imperial Citadel is considered one of the most extensive construction projects in Vietnamese history.

Next, we’ll head to Toa Kham Wharf to board a dragon boat for a cruise along the Perfume River. During the cruise, your guide will provide commentary on Trang Tien Bridge, Phu Van Lau Flag Tower, Da Vien Bridge, and other landmarks. We’ll stop at An Hien Garden House, one of the oldest traditional houses in Hue, featuring a variety of fruit trees and classic wooden architecture.

Our journey continues to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest and most picturesque pagodas in the region. Here, you can delve into the cultural aspects of Hue’s ancient pagodas while enjoying the serene beauty of the Perfume River.

12:00 PM: We’ll return to Hue City for some rest and relaxation, and to savor the local cuisine.

In the afternoon, we will continue with the tombs of the Nguyen emperors. First, we’ll visit Minh Mang Tomb, also known as Hieu Lang, characterized by its symmetrical and majestic layout.

Next, we’ll visit Khai Dinh Tomb, also known as Ung Lang, renowned for its innovative, unique, and even eccentric architectural style, along with its intricate and distinctive decorations.

Vong Canh Hill is a must-visit destination in Hue, offering breathtaking views of the clouds, sky, and rivers.

We’ll also visit Thuy Xuan Incense Village, where you can find a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs unique to Hue.

Finally, we’ll return to your hotel in Hue City. End of services.
